No you're not the only one.

I've always said he's grossly overrated. GOAT my fucking ass. His last album had like 80% features and was 90% him bragging about past achievements. Imagine if Em came on Relapse almost every song with "Biggest rapper" this "Marshall Mathers sold..." that. Like he wouldn't get fucking trashed. But this image stealing, Biggie-biting slouch gets away with it.

He stole his mentors name, he steals Biggie's lyrics and lately Kanye's image. The guy is scarcely original in any sense of the fucking word. Besides that he's not even good and he always brags about not writing his lyrics down. As if that's impressive.

I hate when rappers say that and shit like "I made it in 4 days" like that's a good thing. Just shows you obviously don't give much of a shit about your craft. And certainly don't love it enough to obsess and harness it. Tell you what Jay... How about... Writing them down and maybe spend a little more time thinking of new ideas and a little less time putting on plastic glasses and posing.

Where's the guy's "Stan", his "Kim", where's his artistic genius. If "Hard Knock Life" and "99 Problems" are the best he's got he's not even a contender for top 10 for me. I've listened to all his albums and I barely agree that Reasonable Doubt is a classic. But he still names that his best album and most people agree it's his only stone-cold classic. So... He believes he's never bettered his 1st attempt... Wow something's wrong there surely.

Also, really? 11 albums and 1 true classic. Yeah, wow, impressive record. The Blueprint's best track was fucking "Renegade". Produced, chorus-written and featuring Eminem. Em showed who the true GOAT was there. He even left his old verses in place as they were the same ones done with Royce. So Jay had a chance to sit down, listen to them and outwrite them and still couldn't.

I like Jay-Z as a person but he's massively overrated. Everybody sucks his cock like he's god, there's so so many better in every single aspect.

Well fucking said my friend. 100% Agree. I strongly agree with everything you said. He is purely a business man, fact.

Definetley horrible live, Its like going to see Memphis Bleek with Jay-z as his right-hand man instead of the other way round

No fuckin way. Well, considering this IS an Eminem forum it doesnt surprise me. But, no way is Jay overrated.

All his albums are either classics to near-classics to really good except The Dynasty and BP3.
Jay-Z is behind Biggie and Pac tied with Eminem in the best of Rap FOR ME.

So:
1. Tupac
2. Biggie
3. Jay-Z/Eminem

Really now? Cause that's what people praise Jay-Z for, his flow and lyrics.

You're one ignorant motherfucker to think his lyrics are horrible. Go learn what a lyric is past multis and punches and then come back. You don't know the most important thing about lyrics. Oh and I've heard your work, garbage.

Are you guys kidding me? He is fucking awesome live, lots of energy, huge fucking setlist, lots of contact with the crowd. One of the best rap shows i've seen, and I'm pretty sure both of you havent seen him live. Memphis bleek only came out to do one song.

Ontopic, Jay-Z is dope. He's not just a rapper, he's an musician.
