He was also supposedly taking it 'back to the old 50' with BISD and said it would easily top Get Rich lmao.

Instead of trying to go back to X or re-create Y, how about MOVING FORWARD. Going back to shit is a cop-out for not progressing.

That's one thing in particular Kanye is great at - Evolving. And he can never be accused of standing-still. For five albums in a row now, he's re-invented his sound. Like Em has for seven. 50 couldn't do it for two. He has one sound.

It's not as if 'old 50' was an artistic genius, so how about forgetting what you've done and trying to do something better.

Yes but large in part due to the production.

Production on it was bombastic. He also used to be a good-hook writer. But conceptually, the songs are average and lyrically, below-average.
