Well, he's not doing a very good job of it right now. BP3 is shit compared to his earlier albums. He's had moments of genius, such as Monster and So Appalled from Kanye

Well I have Jigga man in my Top-10.I'm not a big fan of him but I accept that he is one of the greatest especially with his duration almost 15 years.
But personally I can't give him the #1 ever because Eminem imo is the whole package and the Greatest ever.

No one toots their own horn in Hip Hop the way Jay-Z does.

I mean the entire genre is full of talking about how you're the best rapper, but Jay is different, he does it in a way which is almost pushing on propaganda, not just to persuade people to think he's great, but force them to think he's great.

He has some great songs (easily one of the top 10 rappers), but he's been such a bad influence on Hip Hop overall.
