I like Nicki, but the album was disappointing. She never completely killed a verse like in Monster and it sounded so girly. Also, she couldn't have chosen a different album cover??? It made me want to beat a toy poodle with a barbie doll.

Album didn't live upto my expectations at all.
I first heard her on the BET Cypher and regardless of other people downing her, knew she was something special. Like Tech N9ne says, she has personality.
The most vital aspect of a great MC to me, and something MOST are missing. Hugely. Immediately you could tell, she's inventive and charismatic. Her flow is clear and emphasized, little inserts and left-field ideas, constant switch-ups.
But I think Pink Friday is a major let-down. It's not trash but, the production is awful to me (though I expected that given who she's signed with) and her rapping was tame. I think she could of come up with much better ideas, definitely aiming for pop appeal.
Hopefully she lives upto her HIP-HOP potential next time.
