The High Exhaulted vs. The Life & Times of Peter Nelson

Postby Satire » Feb 26th, '11, 04:49

This one goes out to my fellow Copywrite fans. EminemInsider's amazing topic in the Stan section on Copywrite (who is amazing btw) made me go back and re-listen to some of Copy's amazing music but then I was reading amazingly further down the posts of that amazing topic and he said that the High Exhaulted (Amazing album) Copy was long gone.

Now I've always liked Life & Times better just for the sheer amount of replay value and his delivery is a thousand times better, but I wanted some input from the fellow amazing copy-heads of this forum. Thoughts?

Life & Times by a good 3.78 light-years.

One of my favorite albums of last year :smoking:

Life And Times is undisputably the better album but...sometimes I like THE better just because of the feel it has with it. Copy was so cocky and had one of the best deliverys in hip-hop. Idk, it's obvious which one is better but which one is my favorite is hard.

I've bought The High Exhaulted but still haven't given it a proper listen. Life & Times seems to be a much more important album than THE would be, though.

Life & Times.

His rhyming and punchlines are probably slightly better on High Exhaulted, although he think he has tendancy to overuse punchlines on that album.

I think his overall lyricism is far better on Life & Times. Some really poetic lines, a better flow, a really good use of vocab and word choice and (hate using this) it's got great emotion (fuck). He seems to know when to use different techniques at the appropriate time. He uses his punchlines more sparcely and, although there are still a few facepalm worhty ones ("semmtress having sex with Forst Gump, sew/so fucking retarded" and "I wear a diaper to bed, I do this shit in my sleep") they're decent overall.

He had such artistic development, it's crazy. Life And Times easily, though I've listened to THE so much more.
