I just watched this little documentary again and I thought I'd share with you all. Kane has always been one of my favourite emcees cus of his skills and his lyrical ability to make hardcore rap with mass apeal so I found this documentary quite interesting.

He is actually coming out with a new album this year if anybody's interested :)

I can't really remember if I've posted it before so forgive me if I have

He's bringing an album out?, i'd have to listen to it. I think Kane kinda dropped since he made Dark Prince. I loved his first 2 albums, the beats were just to good. He's got the best Swag in hip hop and the best Gimmick. Pioneered rap with Rakim, shame they didn't actually beef though, they kept there disses to secret. Would of been a great beef, you heard his verse on The Symphony?, best Big Daddy Kane verse ever.

I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Big Daddy Kane, Naughty by Nature, Kool G Rap, Public Enemy, LL Cool J all have new albums coming out within the next 12 months.

Yeah, I read some days ago that he is going to release a live album with his band. It should be fun to hear where he is at.

Kane is a bit more of a punchline rapper than Rakim and would probably have got more people on his side because of his general rap style (Rakim's lyrical style isn't always that easy to fully appreciate because he is so complex) so I actually think he would have won it. Would have been a serious battle though!

Just heard his verse on The Symphony. Very good! But not sure it is my favourite. There are tons of truly brilliant verses on his first two albums.
