Since when has he been known as Big Wax?

Also, is the mixtape good?

He's called himself Big Wax for a long ass time, it's just more of a nickname than his actual name like Slim Shady to Eminem
The mixtape is worth checking out.

I wanted to post this a couple days ago when it happened but..ehh.

Was bored to hell with his mixtape tbh. Had a couple good songs but by the end I was waiting for it to end.

Music & Liquor is honestly one of my favorite songs of all time so I'm happy for him but I can't imagine him going anywhere but on the shelf. His style is just too....Wax. He literally reminds me of a continuation of High Exhaulted Copywrite on soulful beats.

Nah man he's built for mainstream. Think BOB. He's versatile, relatable, and a good musician.

I forgot he sings lol. You're right but can you actually imagine that voice on the radio?

He's capable, I'm not doubting that, but his main musical style right now is definitely not built for the mainstream.

I really think it is. We've only heard fully developed solo Wax on Eom production and a few tracks on Scrub Life. He works with the right production and he could make a hit. I personally like his voice lol.

He just screams independent musician to me lol. I always thought he'd just get really successful in the underground before getting signed. I like his voice too, I just couldn't imagine it blowing up. I would've said the same thing about B.o.B & Lupe though so iunno. Maybe I'm wrong and he'll blow up.

For anyone that hasn't heard of him, you have now:

So cised to hear he got signed to Def Jam. I think he'll do well. At least he has a personality and can make some funny songs.

Some good up and coming MD rappers coming out too. Check em out if you haven't already
Wale (don't get it twisted, dude went to school in the county I'm from in MD. He's not from DC, but I guess he likes to think he grew up in the hood of DC)

Is he good?
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
