Um not really, I could completely understand people saying Wayne sucks even if they listened to his mixtapes (which have his best material), but an artist who relies on mixtapes to put out his best music is pretty much irrelevant anyway. Wayne is like my guilty pleasure and the only reason I even defend him so much, is because he's the first artist that I really fully took the time to explore and listen too 24/7. Anyways to get to the point, Wayne isn't "awful" but if you hold yourself to higher standards and have been exposed to a lot of high quality artists, than he's just average, nothing spectacular, and I can certainly see someone saying he sucks if they exposed themselves to a ton of higher quality artists. So yeah Wayne even in his p'rime is not a "great" mc, he's just average (this part isn't directed at you, but more at the op)

Wayne is just a big muhfuckah that screeches on his songs, announces about himself he is the best rapper alive, puts out tons of shit music and ruins talent that Drake & Nicki got. Everybody was saying in 2008: wow, listen to Carter 3, its shit/dope. Fuck you. I turned it up and 1 song was good: Mr. Carter with Jay-Z. Also, the beat of A Milli was great and the chorus on Lollipop was very catchy. Nothing more. How can people consider that shit the best album of 2008 defeating T.I.´s Paper Trail, for example?

Btw, Fireman was probably the biggest piece of donkey shit I have ever heard. I am not gonna listen to Wayne anymore, but I respect peoples opinions: my friend ( she is a girl ) loves him, because she loves that screeching and the style he has.
