If someone came out releasing the same type of material Tupac did, they would not be held in the same regard for one reason - because they're not Tupac. It's not just about the music, it's about the person, that's what makes an icon.

Exactly. His impact was bigger than his music. That exact same statement would also be true if you replaced Tupac with Eminem. The reason they get so much praise is because of whose mouth it's coming from. If Bob from down the street was coming up with Tupac/Encore and beyond Eminem songs, people would tell him he's whack, and he should stop.
