How many guys do you know who walked around New York in just sweat pants holding an AK47?
Made a record called every record label sucks dick.
Sexually assaulted a label mate/woman working at the label.
Was plotting to kill Jeff Fenster, Executive Vice President of A&R at Warner Bros. Records.
Took a shit on an A&R's desk.

You gotta say that Ol Dirty Bastard was pretty nuts, on the run for ages.. but still turning up to do shows and signing autographs at Mc Donalds (R.I.P)

DMX is pretty crazy, he's always in prison..

Big Lurch! high on PCP he murdered a woman and cut her chest open, he was "picked up by police, he was naked, covered in blood, standing in the middle of the street and screaming at the sky. A medical examination performed shortly after his capture found human flesh in his stomach that was not his own", other reports suggest that he ate her lung.

Freddie Foxx in Crazy like a Foxx, but that album is pretty old still vintage. It's from 94, though the lyrics may be kind of outdated, though it's one of the best unreleased albums out there.

Kool Keith in Dr Octagon, not really psycho but very eccentric.

Busdriver is very perplexing and experimental, may seem gimmicky, but I like his style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swe478BwZRg

Try Dalek as well (his music is very rare and I can't find a lot of his songs on youtube)

I think a lot of R.A's actions are done with him knowing full well what's he doing, and that is to increase the crazy image of himself that he's built up. That's what differs between him and a ODB, because ODB genuinely was crazy, it was all him, whereas Rugged does it for attention. If I were to call him anything, I'd say he's a somewhat bum who's entire career (I use career lightly)was built on Biggie praising him once, which was not even heard. I know he's been through a lot of shit in his life but he's seriously one of the most irrelevant dudes in NY rap history, but thankfully after his Money May incident on the radio a few years a go he's largely disappeared because that was just cringe worthy. He should just retire in peace, it's embarrassing watching him now. Him getting booed and spat on when he opened for Kool G a few years a go is not a good look for anyone.

I had always wondered what people's thoughts are on him. I mean, he has been around since the early 90's and he only has one album out. Yet he still claims he is a legend and a lot of people seem to genuinly think he is. His album wasn't anything extraordinary and in my opinion he has relied on a few great verses for way too long.

I didn't know about the bold part. Funny thing is he a few months ago urged people throw bottles at and boo wack rappers in NY (according to him that was how it used to be back in the days).

I don't really mind though and I really look forward to his album. I just don't understand what he has achieved to deserve much of the praise he gets.

RA is nowhere near legendary status, he's closer to wood status than being recognized as a legend here in New York. For the people who still know he exists down here, that's where quite a bit of the bad feelings toward him stem from where he does nothing but talk repetitive shit about how Biggie thought he was great and how he's a legend, it's so ego driven and cringe worthy. After the Mayweather incident, Combat Jack went in him a little and called him the original JaMarcus Russell, and that name has stuck since.

He got ambushed with all types of objects a few years a go at the Kool G concert because he was opening for him and he barely did any music, rather talking garbage and said some things that got on peoples nerves. So he had to get escorted out of there otherwise he would have dropped.

RA is right about the NY rap concert scene though, that's happened for years when the audience isn't appreciative of wack rappers. For what its worth, I was going to Summer Jam today just to do that to the lineup they have today (Wayne, Drake, Ross, Khaled, Waka, Wiz) because it's completely anti-NY hip hop and a disgrace to Summer Jam. Summer Jam has a history of this, where there's a somewhat secret movement of fans who decide to boo the fuck out of artists. It happened to Nelly because of his KRS beef in 2002, it happened to R.Kelly because 50 told the crowd to do so, it happened to T-Pain a few years a go because of Hov and so forth. Plus there were some rumors that 50's Summer Jam ban was up, but I got a good offer for my ticket and I gave it up. I've already heard from people there though that Waka's set was destroyed with boo's and "fuck off" chants.
