Well yeah I thought of True Magic as soon as I saw Ye's lack of cover tbh.

I completely understood Ye's intention from the day I saw it btw, as I saw tweets of his talking about minamlism and it's obvious that he's trying to strip away all bullshit and the content of "New Slaves" and the anti-establishment / anti-product vibe etc. but... regardless, it still looks shit. Even though there's meaning and a point to it, it just doesn't bode well for a big release album and looks crap...

I don't like the album title either... given the vibe of "New Slaves" and "Black Skinhead", the title doesn't seem very fitting. Seems too personal and self-centered... tongue-in-cheek or not... just doesn't seem fitting for the vibe and concept he's going for.

Anyway, gonna give the shit a listen now!
