It had some great songs though. How to Emcee, Walk these Streets, Documentary of a Gangsta, Holy are You, Message in the Song, Dedicated and Euphoria are all great. There are some iffy songs but I feel like it got some hate because it wasn't really the style people were expecting. But lyrically a lot of it is just as good as anything he's done imo.

I didn't say it was bad... it was good but it took him 10 years to drop it & expectations were high. I honestly don't think it was close to his stuff with Eric B.

Yeah I was more referring to how the critics took it. But yeah 10 years of hype can kill anything.

True... esp. as he was on Aftermath & Dre was producing for him for a couple of years in that period of time & people expected something biblical... I had huge expectations for Oh my God too actually... too bad that didn't happen.

I want those songs so bad I can't even tell you. Problem was he started fresh with his recording after that. It wasn't actually 10 years in the making...unfortunately. I can't even describe the awesome potential for a Ra x Dre album.

He started fresh 'cuz Dre didn't give him any the beats... a few of them ended up on GRODT. On top of my head that Back Down beat which Dre said 50 murdered way better than 5 rappers who recorded on it before 50 did. I'd love to hear those tracks too but I know we'll never hear 'em... Rah & Em collaborated for that album too.
An album like that would really be something insane but they both said creative differences piled up & became unbearable at some point. Rah said Dre made him uncomfortable 'cuz he asked him to have more gangsta raps & less God ones while Dre said he was kinda unhappy with the way Rah was sounding on his beats.
