Illmatic is still the best rap album of all time imo

I'm still trying to decipher the "Da Nas Code" to truly understand the depth and perfection of this masterpiece.

I listened to Resurrection last night, it's a good album. For its time, like Illmatic, it's magnificent. I think the reason people think of Illmatic more favourably is down to how Nas opted for multiple producers, yet managed to create a cohesive project. At the time it was pretty much unheard of.

the album is still praised for its lyricism, not for his beats
