Mozart Symphony #40 in G Minor, K 550 is the best hip-hop song ever, cause it don't even sound hip-hop phamine. It's hundreds of years ahead of its time and hella left field.

And now you see WOLFGANG - props by one of the most prominent new hip-hop groups in the late 00's.'hit me baby one more time' by the rapper Britney is some raw ass shit too. 2Pac-esque.

2Pac was my favourite singer forever.

Mozart was dope and innovative but not so great lyrically. He's Kanye, which would be easy to be if Kanye wasn't: Shakespeare in the flesh, Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and a myriad of other randomly inspiring people my man rattles off for the sake of lazy association of ambition and self-delusion.

bit late to this 90s vs now discussion. But 88-96 were definitely the golden years of hip hop in terms of just overall preponderance of quality albums coming from all directions. Hell the amount of great albums from 94-96 alone is staggering, not to mention quality came from everywhere. Mainstream and underground or whatever, and not just desolate disparate underground groups. Can't hate on the new millenia though, I probably prefer the bet records from this decade to some of the best off 88-96...

Dunno comparing the 90s to now is like comparing 60s-early 70s rock to 80s to early 90s... 97 btw was one of the worst years in rap ofc, barring the stellar funcrusher plus and wu forever.
