Comeback of the year: Eminem - Rap God

After 2009's Relapse, which was well received at first by fans and was praised for it's vivid imagery and complex rap patterns, it untimely suffered due to the faux accents, the little replay value the album held as a whole, and its stale-gimmicky concept, and 2010's Recovery, with it's awkward blaring production, and Em's screaming vocals, cringe-worthy punchlines and forced delivery, didn't resonate well with fans, non fans, and critics alike, many questioning him if he can still 'bring it'. With that addressed, Em announced MMLP2, the follow up to his widely considered magnum ops The Marshall Mathers LP. After the released of 80s throwback b-boy anthem Berzerk, and Recovery-ish Survival, many wondered if he could 'pull it off' without tarnishing his legacy. With Rap God, which is a 6min raw tirade containing a machine like delivery, switching flows, and intense rhymes with a heavy EDM influenced beat, he silenced (for the most part) the doubt placed upon him from the masses.
