Jaysus, when did Pharoahe begin to get so much love on here?!

Definitely checking this out over the weekend, hopefully it's a step up from W.A.R
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Lyricism just doesnt matter if you cant enjoy the music...but Intellectual shit can sell if the music is good, if people like it.

Lupe Fiasco was the perfect example of it... he's probably the greatest lyricist ever and his 3 first albums went gold

@staywideawake

I like the album the more i listen to it, but do you ever feel like hes being excessively wordy, for the sake of sounding intelligent? Dont get me wrong hes dope as shit, just something thats crossed my mind haha.

It's just his style, I like it. He always plays with vocabulary and interesting wording. It might take a little bit to get used to but he never really has a stale or plain verse. Everything about his flow, his rhymes and his wordplay feels unpredictable.

Just so that this doesn't get buried..

"I am Pharoahe Monch & I would like to say the first week response to PTSD has brought me to tears, And I Simply want to say thank you."

It makes me happy haha. I'm glad Paul gave him a shoutout.

Nice :b:

That's one of those singles that managed to stay fresh for me even once the album comes out. That doesn't happen often.

Same homie :y:
I love these bits

The best liar told a lie inside a room full of liars
The lie was so exciting that all of the liars admired
When the truth walked in the building every liar retired
Deception was defeated and deceit became deleted

Who put these pussies on top
Putting out that pussy music, call it pussy pop
Playing them pussy games, sucker shit
Fucking around but they don't know just who they fucking wit
