yeh every rapper every now and then will use a lil line or whatever from other rappers but jayz took it to a whole next level i take it you have heard the camron diss, he takes huge chunks of songs. like ur example tbh i didnt know that n havent heard the rakim line but it sounds like he took a line and changed it slightly and made it into a hook but jayz just straight rips off other artists hunndreds of times! unless theres a name invilved which he changes
