Rapper The Game has been forced out of his tough Compton, Los Angeles neighbourhood by concerned family members, who urged him to raise his son well away from the 'hood.
The rapper reluctantly bought a new home in leafy Glendale, California a year ago (05) after pressure from his folks made him realise that his son Harlem's wellbeing was far more important than his own plans to stay as close to the mean streets, where he grew up, as possible.
He tells King magazine, "I never thought I'd leave my 'hood. My mother and grandmother kept beating it into my head: 'You have a baby boy and you're still out on the block with him? What the f**k is wrong with you? You're five times platinum.' "Once my thick skull was cracked by reality, I decided to relocate my family. Now, I'm like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air."
