nowadays hip hop is more about the beats than the lyrics.....as long as they have a catchy beat that you can dance to it'll be a hit :(

i like some mainstream music and i have no problem listening to d4l and dfb to an extent like nick but having hip hop being mainly consisted of that kind of music is just :zipped:

this is some bullshit. :angry: HATE! people are just mad the south is ruling the charts. there are alot of crappers out from north, east, west making horrible music. nah, i don't like everything from down here but i sure as hell prefer it.

:swear:

i'm tired of this ruining rap shit anyway. if the south is killing it, why doesn't someone come save this bitch? since all these rappers think it's such garbage, why aren't they coming with that fire? :tapping:

that includes the fans, you think it's so bad either stop listening or do something about it.

Sarah wrote:^You have a very good point there. And like I said.....I'm sure there is some great lyrical talent in the South, it's just most of the ones who break through aren't very good lyrically. But they do make the best club songs if your in that mood :D

i agree they aint like songs u'd listen to.to hera lyrics...they more like songs 2 dance 2 or club yeah....but u kinda need that 2 appriciate the good huh?
an its not all of them i mean like ludacris....?he's good an shit but whatever i dont think they are coz they aint like hip hop really...

We can talk about great "underground" in south or watever all we wont, the fact is ... the new trend is southern rap.. and the southern rap that gets played and is most talked about and to be honest ... it sux. Now NY is trying to sound like the south, westcoast trying too? So , what , we gone all listen to "dance rap" now lmao.

'Too be honest it just seems to me like people are trying to do wats easier, wat takes less creativity and less though and pays the bills simple as that, on buissness level.

Theres no motivation to make better albums or singles right now, no classics to change shit around for a few years now, untill some kind of creative progress happens we stuck listning to shit thats played, deal with it. Dont like it, go support the real artist, less talk, more action, promote ur favourite music.

I really think it's sad to say that The South is ruining the hiphop. I haven't heard anything really good from the other coasts/sides. So right now, The South is keepin' it going. I personally love The Southern rappers, I love Chamillionaire's hooks, I love T.I.'s "in-ya-face" type of songs, I love Paul Wall because he's doin' his own thing, I love Stat Quo because he's just doing good music. But then there's alot of Southern rappers I DON'T like, for example; Lil Jon, Ludacris, Slim Thug, Lil Flip, Bun-B etc. etc.

Everybody's allowed to have an opinion, and mine is;

To say that The South is fucking up the game is just sad.
