i just wanted to share this track by Brother Ali. it's called "Here" and it's a pretty deep song. what are your thoughts on it?

Yea, I also thought it might be describing his house (which is a metaphor referring to himself) in relationships with people.

Great song, his album "Undisputed Truth" is one of my fav albums of all time. :y:

yea you guys are right.

i was actually in the process of writing lyrics about the same thing in a very similar way. then i listened to this song after having not heard it for a while and was like damn my shit's too much like his. :sweating:

@ Bazz: Undisputed Truth is also on my list of faves. :y:

it's a shame not many people really listen to him, even the people who listen to underground.

EDIT: just listened again and oh my god the 2nd verse is amazing. the way he described himself in full detail without sayin "this is how i feel".

damn, when i saw this topic i was like 'shit, i heard the name', but couldn't manage to remeber where. rofl i know now, he was a guest on Hip Hop Kemp 2008 [Czech Republic], which ended few days ago.

back to the song: cool. his flow sort of annoyed me at the beginning, but then i realized it somehow matches to the lyrics and the message. the lyrics are dope, i especially like the part when he talks about demons inside him, and how they gonna pass away and get buried in the backyard, it's pure genius.

so you guys recommend 'Undisputed Truth'.. dl link anyone? :shifty:
