Ready To Die or Life After Death?

Postby DrRapid » Apr 18th, '09, 12:56

The Notorious B.I.G or as we call him, Biggie, only managed to complete two albums in his short career.

His first album, Ready To Die, wasn't as commercially successful (it still was successful) as the second, Life After Death, but it is hailed as a Hip Hop classic. Many people believe it is one of the best Hip Hop albums of all time. The lyrics and his flow are valued very much in it.

His second album, Life After Death (which went Diamond) was hugely successful but does not seem to be praised as much as Ready To Die. Obviously the topics change from being broke to now being rich and having a Mafioso sort of life.

So my question is, which one do you actually prefer?

I personally prefer Life After Death even though Ready To Die is also great. I'm sure Ready To Die will get more votes but I'd like to know what people think.

Every one of those I love but somehow I always seem to listen Life After Death more than Ready To Die for no apparent reason and if you compare both Ready To Die is better in more aspects.

Ready To Die = classic. One of the best albums of all time not just hip hop. And Juicy is one of my fave songs of all time.
I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

I enjoy both on a equal level well maybe Ready To Die more cause thats when he was raw as fuck. Life After Death is dope as fuck to, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE "Notorious B.I.G. - Last Day feat the Lox" Lox just kill Biggie on that track and its fucking awesome. Damn I miss the old lox. :'( Anyways "The What" was dope as hell I loved it so fucking much first listen, Method Man is the shit! Anyways both albums are better than every pac album imo, but thats because I enjoy the east way way more than the west. Used to be the other way around few years ago, but times change as you listen to the all time greats and realise there all from the east, except for some....My bad for turning this into a Biggie vs pac type thing lol but yeah awesome albums both of them, IM READY TO DIE MOFOS I just hope someone puts my verses together and puts out a life after death album soon after....
