I'd pay $100 just to get in a club that has shook ones playing. And even more of they have Nas - The Message playing.

why the fuck would you do that? i mean honestly it's not worth it...i know your being sarcastic but still..a club isn't about what there playing...its about having a good time...i mean what douche bag goes to a club just to bitch about the music?
honestly hip hop is just a cycle..in a few years this southern takeover will pass..and somthing newer and fresher will step up...
i mean look at whos getting alot of play now-a-days: Asher, Charles Hamilton, Kid Cudi..Now im not the biggest fan of those guys but i think its a step in the right direction...
we just gotta take rap for what it is..its a never ending cycle...

I used to listen to only rap, fuck everything else. Until everything started to sound bland and the passion was just gone. Everyone can hear that, its the same thing over and over again. Lost my passion for rap music with it, sure i still bump rap once in a while but its not the same as it used to be for me. Started listening to more rock orientated music, where i still get the chills from listening to some of it.

Oh and as far as club music goes, i prefer house. I would not go to a club where hiphop is played.

^You just need to know where to look. The underground for example, filled with tallented emcees whom make great music.

The underground also has a bunch of egotistical assholes who only care about themselves

I'm exactly the same as this.

The only reason i still feel passion for the music is because i'm actually trying to make it myself.

If i was a casual onlooker i would have given up on it the minute Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne emerged to tumultuous applause.

I'm reading all of this.. and I think to myself: Thank God. Thank God I searched deeper within Hip-hop to get to the real juice. It sounds stupid, but its fuckin' beautiful they way that people still care about real Hip-Hop. I started off with Eminem, but i'm really lucky i'm a curious person. All of my passion started with one song. Lose Youself. Then I researched Eminem. found out about his idols, listened to them, got even deeper into the genre, now I listen to Nas, KRS-One, Rakim, and Onyx to name a few artists and I couldn't be prouder that i'm a fan of hip-hop. Not just the music, I want to get into Graffitti, try rapping, learn beat-boxing, try being a Dj, maybe even try to B-boy while i'm at it. I'm starting to listen to some Bob Marley too. Reggae is fuckin sweet music, try it people. I'm still a baby when it comes to hip-hop compared to everyone here, 15 years old... that nothing, but still, I wish hip-hop could go back to the way it was in the Golden Ages, where when you heard people liked rap, they DIDN'T mean all of this Lil-Wayne, Flo Rida, Soulja Boy bullshit, they meant The artists I mentioned earlier.I started looking for people who liked the same music as me. Still to no avail but I'm keeping my head up and hopin' for some love for the formerly almost worhipped art of hip-hop.

Well, I expressed myself and i feel better now. Peace.
