Comparison of Hip-Hop Classics

Postby Relapse.LP » Jun 25th, '09, 09:49

I, of course, did not include all classics... just some of the most well-known.

And I didn't repeat artists... to make some diversity.

There's TONS more I would've added though.
Yo, from the first to the last of it; delivery is passionate/
The whole and not the half of it; vocab and not the math of it/
Projectile that them blasted with; accurate assassin shit/
Me and Kweli close like... Bethlehem and Nazareth/

Illmatic :worship: the album is unbelievable. The others are classics but I disagree with one. Why did you put All Eyez On Me? I think Me Against The World deserves the spot, if it'd been up there I would of voted that. Illmatic and Me Against The World are to me the greatest hip hop albums of all time. I never get tired of listening to them.

The fucking Chronic... I mean seriously. That was an empire in an album. I mean think of the songs on there. Over half were timeless. Let Me Ride, Nuthin but a G Thang, Fuck Wit Dre Day, etc. That was my shit. That album was the fucking shit. Not necessarily better than the others, but no one will ever forget The Chronic... ever.

This was tough, but I had to go with Ready to Die. Its dark as hell and has some of the most beloved Biggie songs on there like "Big Poppa", "Who Shot Ya", and "Juicy" just to name a few.

All of those albums are amazing though. :y:
