Nas: List of you favorite albums

Postby DrRapid » Jun 29th, '09, 14:24

I know Illmatic or Stillmatic will be number 1 for most of you bu I'm curious where you rank his other albums. There are 3 albums I don't have yet so I'd like to know where you'd put them in the list.

My list would go like this:

Illmatic 5/5
It Was Written 4.5/5
Stillmatic 4/5
God's Son 4/5 (just slightly less than Stillmatic)
I Am... 2.5/5 (Nas Is Like is a classic)
Nastradamus 2.5/5

(I haven't listened to Street's Disciple, Hip Hop Is Dead nor Untitled fully so I won't rank them.)
If there are albums you haven't heard fully then don't rank them please.

word to the guy in red. :b:
but i gotta admit i like Stillmatic more than his first one. maybe because my passion for Esco's music started from Stillmatic and ever since i've heard it for the first time, i loved it and compared the rest of his albums to this one. but i been listening to Hip Hop Is Dead alot lately and damn, i gotta admit i love this album too.

^ Cool cool, so Hip Hop Is Dead isn't even that good you think? I heard most of Untitled on my friend's iPod and I didn't really get a good view of it tbh.

According to Nas standards:

Illmatic 5/5
Stillmatic 4.5/5
It Was Written 4.3/5
I am... 4/5
God's Son 3.5/5
Nastradamus 3.3/5
Hip Hop's Dead 3.2/5
Untitled 3/5
Streets Disciples 3/5

So was Street's Disciple pretty bad so to put Nas back down, away from the King of New York crown if you know what I mean. After Stillmatic he had to prove he was still the king with God's Son. That was good but Street's Disciple?

It wasn't a bad album, just not up there if you know what I'm saying. It didn't have that Nas element like Illmatic, Stillmatic and It was written had. So, imo, it's one of his lesser albums.
