Seriously, this tape is on the Illmatic level, in terms of lyrics and beats. Just check out "Deja Vu". Pete Rock doing his thing and it's straight fire. :y:

EDIT: Nas's verse from Verbal Intercourse with Raekwon and Ghostface Killah was originally taken from the Deja Vu track. It's plain ill. :b:

Yeah it's a great mixtape. There's more than one verse I recognise that he released later on such as the one of Deja Vu. That's actually my favorite song of the tape. It's sick! Definitely worth checking out for Nas fans.

Many of the verses would later go on to be part of Illmatic itself, but fuck it. The beats are all on-point. :worship:
