What got you into Hip Hop

Basically what did you hear that made you fall in love wit this genre

Brother used to bump Nas and Mobb Deep frequently when was young. At the time I did not know what was being said but thought it sounded really cool. Then I lived/studied in the U.S for 3 years and was introduced to a range of hip hop.

Also loved Linkin Park when I was young and always waited for Mike Shinoda to start rhyming

My dad used to play really old school hip hop cassettes in the car. Run DMC, Newcleus, Grand Master Flash.

What got me into stuff besides what's on the radio? Wu-Tang was a favorite of my cousin's BF so I started listening to them and then Mobb Deep.

Well, when I was younger my oldest brother was practically in love with Eminem. He used to bump him 24/7. He has the SSLP up to TES I think? Yeah. And since my brother constantly played it day after day, and I would constantly hear Em, I kinda got used to it and started listening to him myself.

Em is probably the only rapper I listen to, maybe cuz I've been listening to him since I was way young, or maybe just cuz I can't get into other rappers. I dunno. And then I just fell in love with Rap. Or Eminem. I dunno yet.

Definitely influenced highly by my brother, mostly, since he was like a role model to me. I believe Eminem was the first Hip Hop artist I listened to when I was nine, but only really got into the genre at 13 and was a huge fan of Lil Wayne at the time.

Eminem - Without Me was the song that introduced me to Hip-Hop when it was released as single when I was in 5th grade or something. But I didn't really start checking out other artists before I was in 10th grade
