I appreciate all styles of rap but could never get into horrorcore got nothin againist those who like it or rappers who make that style, but just not somethin that i felt was for me or enjoyed personally sonically or musically. But i got a question i have seen more den 1 instance of horrorcore rap fans saying 'Gangster rap sucks, Gangster rap is awful' yet how can u hate on Gangster rap when u listen to music about serial killing, torture and just that kinda extreme to da max violance. Yet will disrespct Street rap? this always seemed so hypocritical and annoyed me

As far as street rap/gangster rap Kool G Rap, Mobb Deep, N.W.A., 50 Cent, The Lox, Ice Cube, The Dogg Pound, Dipset, Snoop, Ice T and numerous more have left a huge impact on the culture/genre. What has Tyler The Creator done? i'm not knocking anyones taste but i can't stand hypocrites

This thread got nothin to do with Wayne tho this thread about the hypocrisy of those horrorcore fans who critisize street rap which a major aspect of the culture, bought so many classics, is a reflection of the place we grew up in. Yet these same people will say gangsters rappers suck they just rap about killin, shooting, violance etc yet u like horrorcore??? like wtf lol

Because i like Boosies music i can relate to a lotta his lyrics i been through a lotta the things he raps about same way i have with others like DMX, Eminem, Pac, Styles. I feel what he is writting about in his lyrics i think it's pretty powerful. With Kanye i find his music boring, i don't like him cus he too generic. Never was a fan of his style of production either. I don't relate to Kanye, Boosie's music is extremley diffrent to Kanyes in content. Where as a lotta horrorcore fans complain that 50 Cent, D Block, Dipset, NWA and other Gangster rappersjust rap about shooting, killin etc yet horrorcore rappers rap about killing and more violance. So that's the contradiction b

You still fail to understand that fans of EVERY genre do this to other genres. People who like gangster rap might hate political rap and say that it sucks. It goes the same for fucking movies and TV. The same people who hate action movies might go and watch a comedy. It's all preference, it's not only horrorcore fans who do it.

EDIT: just because you can relate to music doesn't make it good. What you're saying makes it sound like you only like music because you can relate to it.

No i'm not a muslim but i like songs that speak on islam if the quality good, i don't relate to having a parent that was on drugs but in Pac' and Em's case i like the songs cus the quality was dope. You missed the point tho which is the reason some horrorcore fans i seen say they hate street rap is cus it is about killin, shooting, bragging etc. Yet horrorcore is about killing, extreme violance. That is the point you missed cuzin.
