How was Ye's RAPPING bad on Yeezus?

Postby Almostlity » Jun 25th, '13, 22:08

I've seen people bitching about how Ye's ''rapping was so bad hurr'', First you guys cry about MBDTF being ''overproduced'' (too bad you retarded monkeys can't comprehend more than 3 sounds at a time) and now criticizing his rapping? FOHHHH

Feel free to explain yourselves.

You know what, Almostlity? I just talked to Jesus. He asked me "What up Yeezus?". And do you know what I said? "Shit I'm chilling, trying to stack these millions!" Can you believe that?

If Ye took a shit in your ears you would call it artistic. But aight, I'll post everything that's wrong with the lyricism tonight.

It's not horrible, yet it's not great either. Very average album. Actually, considering it's a Kanye album I'd say it's below average because MBDTF was on some killer shit both lyrically and production wise. Can't say the same about Yeezus after multiple listens. Don't think I can put my ears through that again anytime soon, lol.

Okay, okay.

First of all, when I heard New Slaves and Black Skinhead, I didn't really like his direction. I thought talking about black racism would be stupid and played out, especially coming from a guy that probably sees racism wherever he wants. BUT it was at least something, I thought the album would have a theme, I thought it wouldn't be just random lyrics over random (but some good) beats.

The majority of this album is braggadacio and hoe talking, the same exact thing you've been criticizing Em for. It's really, really redundant and a let down considering MBDTF had great songs with deep content like Gorgeous, Blame Game and more. It also had original and unique songs like Runaway.

In this album, you get Ye in his most selfish and laziest days. He didn't produce shit (but that's off the point) and he didn't even write some of the tracks (bound2) PLUS Rubin even admitted he wrote most of the lyrics for the album within TWO hours, which you can really notice because of the lack of originality and rhyming in his verses. (Don't give me shit, Kanye usually rhymes better than that and y'all know it)

So it was a big disappointment because the album is really a huge collection of songs about bitches and corny lines that he gets a pass for, such as the asian pussy one and the parkinson one.

The honesty and truth to this post make it so beautiful. Well done Trimss, well done. I feel the same as well and would like to add that I still enjoyed some of it (Yeezus)

I'm not mad at the critics, I thought the album was just a 7/10 but after 3 listens, I have to admit that it's now a 10/10 in my book. Also, his placement of rhymes and accents are very idiosyncratic – that is, unique to him.
I don't know if it's because I have perfect pitch but these sounds man... Amazing !!!

Thread title should be "How bad was Ye's rapping on Yeezus" and the answer should be "very bad".

Nah, it was just mediocre. Everyone knows he can do better, and for me it all just seemed very lazy. Plus, with a title like "Yeezus" I kind of expected something better than "meh".

Only good/listenable song is Bound 2. Rest of the album is creamy shit.

#bornsinner mother fucker. :coffee:
