1Train is still one of the best songs of the year.

Even though it leaked last year, this song is still one of the best 2013 songs and an absolute joy to listen. I'd even argue is one of the best collaboration songs ever made. The track is spot-on since it fits the concept perfectly: a train where each rapper represents one of its wagons, blazing through a desert at night on a stormy night.

This song is really important for hip-hop too since it showcases pretty much all the top new artists who are carrying the genre on their shoulders, and everybody did an awesome job in coming up with a rap battle type verse that represented their own style. You have Rocky with his strong flow, Yelawolf with his unique delivery, Kendrick doing his voice/"accent" switches, Bronson with that gritty shit, KRIT with his trademark car references, etc.

Like mentioned, everyone killed it, but goddamn if that Big KRIT verse in particular doesn't blow me away every time I hear it. Dude just went HAM, switching flows and riding the beat (credits to No I.D. for such an amazing instrumental) like a true legend.

So yeah, this song is pretty fucking incredible. A shame that there wasn't a video of it since the imagery is so vivid.

Classic song. 10/10.

Listen to The City, Bitch Don't kill my vibe remix, A1, Buried Alive (from Take Care), it's way better than his verse on 1train.

Action Bronson can teach you how to rap with incredible flows but to me, he sounded uninterested and uninspired on this track, he can do way better.
