Dope production, and overall a kind of enjoyable listen... feels like he doesn't know who he is though. Like he's going out of his way to try and carve an identity as some kind of melodic hippie rapper or some shit.

A lot of white rappers in particular seem to struggle with a distinctive identity.

Em had one from the get-go, Yela had one right away too... but even though Asher is dope - he's reminding me of V. Ice in the way he's like... growing his hair out and tryna like, just fit an image that he's maybe not.

Or maybe that is really him but, feels like he's TRYING for an identity as apposed to it being natural.

Also - Roth forever kills the ''Eminem big because he white'' bullshit. Because it's not like there's been 100 gigantic huge rappers since Em, so the shit is still a rarity - and Roth is a gud lukin (to a lotta gulz am shur) young white dude; from suburbia even so even bigger appeal, initially rapping about fucking college partying and shit, signed by a major and even had a hit single and he still didn't fucking blow-up even halfway decent.

His lyrics, style, storytelling and inventiveness were revolutionary, fuck all to do with him being white. If he was average and white... people would have a point. Or if he was even just really good and white, people would have a point. But MMLP and TES and Lose Yourself are not just 'really good', they're better than anything that came before it tier hip-hop and groundbreaking hip-hop. So his whiteness means fuck all.

I didn't even know or care about Eminem's whiteness as a child, all I heard was his rapping - I heard it on the radio and it was his rage and tongue in cheek and amazing flow which struck me... what fucking kid buys an album because the artist is white. You couldn't give two fucks about the colour of an artists skin, especially as a kid.
