Do You Write Your Lyrics On Paper Or On The Computer?

For rappers, hip hop musicians and even people on here that fuck with rnb musically, where do you write your shit on? Maybe like T.I. and Eminem, you write on any piece of paper you got, jot things down here and their and it looks like chicken scratch, or you write neatly and a lot in a notebook or on paper. Maybe you also write your lyrics, or type I should say, on the computer, on wordpad, microsoft word or notepad. Which one do you prefer and why?

Myself, primarily I use wordpad on my computer. It's easy, fast and I can type faster then I write, which is better when I have a lot of ideas that I wanna jot down. I have written a number of songs and lyrics on paper in the past though.

I don't write much but sometimes I do and If I do it's on a notebook written neatly. Since I'm quite neat I automatically write it all in place well. I don't really like typing it up while writing roughly isn't me.

Yeah see with me. Typing is good cause I type fast, and with the computer, If I wanna change a line, or I don't like a line, it doesn't fit etc. I can just backspace or go back up a few lines and delete it. Whereas when I'm writing, I have to cross out a sentence or word(s) and re-write them on a new line and waste a line of paper. It's the same thing with a digital camera, to a regular camera. A digital, you can take it, edit it, delete it, change different things about it. Same with the computer, I can delete a line easily if I want, go back and add a word in or fix an incorrect sentence, whereas with a regular camera & paper it takes longer. That's just me though.

Shit I do both but full songs always get on my comp so they're all in line and neat and shit, so i chose computer even tho my notebook is full too

I can't pick one because I do all of them, lol. I do a lot on the computer because it's easy access to beats and I can get my shit down faster 'cause I'm typing (I chose notepad whenever I write on the computer). My notebooks are messy, but neat at the same time. You can read what I'm writing, but the pages are just FILLED with everything, lol.

I always get ideas when I'm driving, or walking to class, or whatever, so a lot of the times I use the Notepad on my phone and key in a couple lines, or things that rhyme. If I sit down and write, I do it on paper, and then organize my verses with Notepad on my computer.

mainly on computer....cuz like steve stated the access to beats is faster,plus on paper it gets very messy too....but of course i write on paper too...for example on skool papers etc....when i dont follow the class but thats another story.....and when a rhyme comes to my mind i write it down instead of starting the computer again lol ...

emm well I first started writing with a note pad and sometime’s A4 paper... tho it got all messy so I now use my computer and do like 3 draft’s. I still use my pad and I recently got an I pod touch it has a wee note pad thing on it... so I upload beats I might use and when ever im on a bus or just waiting around and get an idea I write it down

Yeah same as Bar. I've got like snippets of lines recorded from the voice recorder of lines to incorporate so i don't forget

I doubt these rappers like Jay-Z do what they say and just remember the songs in their head, then record. Remembering old songs in their head, yes, but I doubt for new shit they about to spit in the booth.

Plus, 90% of Jay's shit is stolen, lyrics and lines wise. That doesn't need memorization.
