Lasers' is about as anti-Lupe as I've ever heard Lupe sound
its funny how people complained Recovery was too commercial...but at least Em kept it hip hop and has some raw tracks mixed in with singles. During my first listen, I thought I had a Trey Songz Chris Brown Katy Perry album with a few rap verses sprinkled in...i know i'm exaggerating but Lasers was a major surprise to me (not a good one either lol)

now i got a whole lot more respect for Chamillionaire....this is what Venom would have sounded like and Cham said fuck it, I'm not putting this garbage out, drop me instead....and he got dropped haha

Lupe should have forced his release and signed on with Roc Nation and released what he wanted

Well he had no choice so no point in complaining about content; his next album will be released under his own decisions (thank God)

Good Album. Nearly all of the songs have replay value. Of course it is more commercial, but thats coz of Atlantic Records and it was quite sure, that this album will be more commercial, after hearing Words I never said and Show Goes On. Letting Go, Words I Never Said, Beatiful Lasers, State Run Radio, Break the Chain, All Black Everything, Never Forget You the best songs in my opinion. But every song is great and hearable...will be on replay for a long time

This. I knew it would have some "poppy" songs in it to please his label but didn't really expect it to be the whole album. It's got some good songs but I just don't feel like it's Lupe's album.
