His voice actually pissed me off at first as well, but I got used to it soon enough.

Fuck you Gza (in his prime), Kweli, Masta Ace, and Ghostface are definitely comparable off the strength of discography alone. The latter two being able to adapt with the times and still drop great albums 10 years after their debut. Though I don't really feel like turning it into a debate.

Definitely not GZA. Don't like him that much.

Masta Ace? Yeah, probably. Kweli? He's dope but not Top 30 for me. Ghostface? Meh.

Thank you.

Your top 5 is just wack. Face it.

No.

Where's the Ice Cube, Scarface, Biggie Smalls, Rakim, Nas, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Prodigy? Ghostface Killah? You've missed like every emcee relevant to the game. GZA? Raekwon? 2pac? Masta Ace? Slick Rick? None. Only two that deserve to be in your top 5 is Jay-Z and Eminem. (But Eminem is certainly not number 1.) And you could probably make a good argument for Tech N9ne, but still.

You're a dumbfuck. So because Royce, Tech and Budden aren't relevant they don't deserve to be in MY fucking list? Like Satire said, Hip Hop fans like you are scum. Essentially your whole top 5 list is just one :facepalm2

And anything else you say it seems. :facepalm

What's your top 5, dickhead?

Let's not resort to name calling now.

Biggie Smalls has 2 classics. Honestly Royce has 1 and that's Death is Certain.

Masta Ace has at least 2 classics solo. And 2 if you judge his work with the Inc.

Without Rakim you wouldn't really have lyrical rap at all.

Nas has Illmatic, Stillmatic, and It Was Written which are all certainly classics. The others could be argued for, but they are all above average.

GZA has one of the greatest rap albums of all time. Liquid Swords. What does Joe Budden and Royce da 5'9 have compared to that?

And I don't even feel like mentioning the other rappers I mentioned.

Like I said the only 2 you could really put up in your top five are Eminem and Tech N9ne who have several classics. Jay-Z definetly deserves to be there. (as long as it's young Jay-Z instead of old Jay-Z) But, whatever.

Anyways I got better things to do. That sink keeps calling my name.

Are you for real? have you ever ridden around in the hood? There's always eminem bumping in someones car. And at the risk of using false percentages, i'd sayi that 90% of buddens fans are black. The same with royce... Tech is arguable

My Top 5:

1. Eminem
2. Royce Da 5'9"
3. Tech N9ne/Joe Budden
4. *reserved for whoever falls out of 3rd*
5. Jay-Z

This could change since I'm stanning real hard on Joey. Pause. Reminds me of my full-blown, super-Stan Eminem days :flutter:

Your top 5 is reminiscent of a 13 year old black kid who just rifled through his older brother's CD's for the first time. :facepalm I am embarrassed for you, MC. E.M.B.A.R.R.A.S.S.E.D.

Jay is the only one of those dudes with a large Black fanbase, tbh.[/quote]

:facepalm (and I use that smily sparingly)

Nah, riding around the "hood" isn't really a hobby of mine, but if my family reunions, friends and school count, I fairly know what i'm talking about. Idiot.

Ignoring the fact that somehow in your mind black people automatically = hood....

-If a rapper is at least somewhat popular outside of their local community (Royce and Budden), it's practically a sure bet the majority of their fanbase is white (or at least non-black). Whites far outnumber Blacks and buy more hiphop anyway.
-If you really think Eminem doesn't have mostly white fans, LOL.
-Tech's fans are KNOWN for being mostly white. He references that fact a lot.

Lol. It's unfair to compare them, 'cause Pac isn't making music anymore. Different times, different cases, different environments. Pac will never be forgotten, yes. Would his music have been deemed legendary without his death? Doubtful. Based of the material we have from both emcees, which of the two is the better emcee? Joey, obviously. Which of the two emcees has had a bigger impact? Pac. Though, Joey is still making music, who knows what kind of impact he will have when he's gone. Who made better albums? Subjective. However, I can say that Joey's Padded Room is a better put together album than any of Pac's. Does that mean it is better than all Pac's albums? No. Why? Because it is subjective. Is Pac a legend? Yes, he is. Is Joey a legend? No, not yet. Why? Because he hasn't been that long in the game yet.

I hope that this little question-and-answer routine has clarified that this debate is useless, because these two cannot be compared at all. You'll have to choose emcees who share a common longetivity, because these two emcees are hard to compare.

Lolz. With this quote I don't even have to respond to you, Suicide but I will anyway.

The fact that your argument is that because those emcees have "Hip Hop classics" and the emcees in my Top 5 like Budden, Tech and Royce don't is soooo stupid. I prefer K.O.D, A6&7, Death Is Certain and Mood Muzik 4/4.5 over every album those "Golden era" rappers have ever crafted. An album being deemed a classic doesn't = a Hip Hop law that dictates albums knows as "classic" > albums not known as "classic".

You obviously didn't read it. I said Tech N9ne could be up there because several of his albums are classics.

:facepalm2

But, I'm done. I've already dealt with you.

You were better off not responding in the first place rather than leaving this skidmark of intellectual cowardice on what I would assume would be an otherwise tidy e persona.

I think this is a special thread, not just for pure hilarity and delusion but because if i ever need a thread to point to to show just how out of touch of 'Hip Hop reality' a predominantly European Eminem fansite is i know right were to link to :). Keep it up guys.
