Wish Xzibit was on it though. Hopefully he is.

If Detox was lyrically crafted by Em / Redman and Xzibit - just those three, come together, took everything into consideration and those three in particular, that blend... and then just Dre on every beat, with prominent features from all three and the odd hook or verse by Snoop or someone.

That would be classic.

50 ruin it?
damn just becuz his last album was bad doesnt mean he still dont got it
have u heard monster
that the new 50 we gonna expect

Actually, well overall BISD was bad yeah but it had a few good tracks.

It's not about that anyway, 50 has always been a terrible rapper. Well actually, on Power of the Dollar he was good. Since then he's been an embarrassment to the mic. Get Rich was / is great due to the hooks and the beats. He's not creative at all, in fact I'd go as far as to say he's one of the least creative rappers in HISTORY.

I mean even other gangsta rappers come up with the odd concept. He's just... dead. He's not an artist. He's an ex-drug dealer with a record deal.

I know his slurr is due to the bullet but irrespective, it makes his flow sound terrible. And his lyricism is really bad too. In real life he's cool, if he could figure out how to put his actual personality into the mic he could be quite good.

And yes I've heard "Monster". It's MEH at best lmao. It's only good to you because your standards are so low for 50, so if you get an average verse it feels like Christmas. Just like if Bizarre rhymes more than 2 words in a verse people are like "Wow Bizzy is improving".

50's flow(s) are awful. Beyond the slurring his timing, delivery and emphasis are crap. Only thing he was ever good at was hook-writing and he's even questionable at that now. 50 ruins tracks. And you could pretty much take ANY verse from... 03-08 and interchange them.

He doesn't write songs he writes random bravado cheese over beats, time and time again. He's so redundant, repetitive and aimless. He hasn't evolved one iota.

Liz is not on Detox. Its that Garacy chick who sings the chourse on I Need A Doctor.

50 Cent will be on the album.

Its Sasha Grey singing in INAD. Just because she is singing that doesnt mean that Liz cant be on another track.

I'll give you some secondary info. That's not from Dr.Dre, that's from Interscope when they announced the Kush leak and single.

The features will be twice as many as that, perhaps three times. That was just the initial announcement.

Detox is still not complete, in fact it's not even done recording, and Dre will take another month or so in the mixing process. So at this moment of time, it's still very raw. 2-3 months away at the least.

The above features list includes the people who's songs have already been recorded. There is about another 100 songs that have artists like 50 Cent, Warren G, DPG, Ludacris and T.I that are in the vault and maybe mixed.

What I ment was that the guy who wrote this on Wikipedia ment Sasha and not Liz. I heard when Dre talked about features, and he did not mention Liz
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?

Btw. should have mentioned don't be surprised to see Liz Rodrigues on the album. She's been with them in the studio, that is Eminem and Dr.Dre for the last few months.

Dr.Dre always has some female vocal backgrounds in many of his songs, and for the last album it was 'Truth Hurts', but he's no longer on good terms with her and with Lis in the studio with them, she will most likely be the female vocalist for certain parts of songs.

Skylar is Alex's artist, that's the only reason she's on I need a doctor.

It would be no surprise if Liz was on there though. Especially if Khalil is working on Detox. Dre probably heard her on Recovery and thought she was dope, which she is :y:

I'm just going by what the site said, and supposedly that's what Dre said. I'm not 100% on anything. I hope Eminem is on a good amount of tracks though. Imagine a Dre/Em/Jay-Z track :flutter:

so basically, you are saying that Wikipedia confirmed the Detox features, which is really saying nothing at all. I don't mind this feature list at all, but i would find it very hard to believe that Game is on the album and not 50. 50 wouldn't stand for that lol.

It's on Wikipedia, yes, but it had a source to go along with it, which is why I believe it

Game has been working with Dre on Detox for a while now. Personally, I think that if 50 and Game were on the same album, hip hop heads would be like "WTF". 50, on the other hand, has been working on his album. He may or may not have a joint on there, but I believe the list we're given

Re: Dr. Dre confirms Detox features

this is what the source says

"While it has not been confirmed by officials at Interscope, reliable sources are saying that Dr. Dre's long-awaited Detox will be given a February 2011 release date.
Along with Eminem, Skylar Grey, Snoop Dogg, Akon and Slim Da Mobsta, Jay-Z, La Roux and The Game are also expected to appear on Detox.
Last week Dre spoke to radio personality Big Boy and said the project was almost finished. "I see the finish line right now. I’m wrapping it up. I need about two or three more songs, and hopefully I’ll start the mixing process at the end of next month.
"

there are no quotes from Dr. Dre or any label representatives , so how is this official ?

i dont mean to make a big deal out of this, but the name of the thread is Dr. Dre confirms Detox features, when realistically he hasn't even confirmed the release date yet, mentioned any other song names, given the album cover...nothing. Sure, we got Kush but don't be too surprised if the album gets pushed back again, as he continues searching for those two or three more songs. if you do your research on Kush, you will find that Dre didn't even want to release it yet, and didn't want it to be a single. But it leaked, just this time it was a high quality leak, unlike the Under Pressure song with Jay-Z. He doesn't want people to get the impression that it's going to be a Chronic 2011, and said this is the only song with this type of subject matter. The only reason he was so fast to roll with this one and release it as an official itunes single is because of the overwhelmingly positive response it received. He has so much more up his sleeve than this song though, and that is saying a lot.
