So I'll take it you know I have a point, but just don't want to admit it? In all seriousness though why should we ignore it, just because he apologized?

I'd say Dead Prez your avatar is major fail. SMH.

So you're from NY, and grew up on Nas, Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep etc. have the username which is from either a classic NY track by Nas, or by a classic NY group....and you rock a Lil Wayne/Dj Khaled avatar.

Fuck outta here. You're Nicki Minaj with a dick. She can say she's from Southside Jamaica, but we all know she's just another "trendy' Dirty South bandwagoner. You're the same.

I thought we were cool. :o

Besides, no I'm not doing it to be controversial (cough L4Lcough) I actually like that mixtape.
Just because I like classic hip hop doesn't mean I can't listen to some new shit, and btw Wayne's actually the one that got me listening to Hip Hop relgiously, after him I graduated to Eminem, Nas, than so on.

Why you hating on the south Scarface, UGK, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Cunninlynguists, Big Krit, Z-ro, Krino?

I'm the first one to say dead prez is a douche, we don't exactly get along, but you can't get on him for his avatar. Have you listened to Suffix? It's dope. It's from 04/05, it's sick, great Weezy. Maybe if he had the Lolipop single cover you could insult him, but not for Suffix man...

I'm not exactly going at him, he knows its tongue in cheek.

But I just don't understand it. I can't get my head around how anyone from NY, where we don't play anything but NY rap, becomes a fan of Khaled and Wayne more than NY rappers.

If Wayne was the first rapper he listened to, and then moved on to Em and Nas etc.....then there's some hope for him left still.

Lot's of people love Wayne in NY... Well where I live anyway. Besides I never bought into that whole regional pride shit if it's good rap it's good rap east, south, west, whatever. One of my favorite rappers is K-os and he's Canadian.

Oh and I heard Eminem and Nas first, but I listened to Wayne reigiously first, after that I started listening to Hip Hop more seriously.

and I like Lowkey and he's from England. It's not about that.

I have no problems with any region.....I don't consider Dirty South a region either, I consider it more of a style.

and that's the only style I have a problem with.

ps. the only area where Wayne would get any love in NY would be LES Manhattan. Corporate whores.

Just to clear up anymore ambiguities I think current wayne and anything after CIII is complete trash personally and his voice got to fucked up for me to listen, so no I'm not a L4L wannabe if that's what you guys are thinking. Should be funny if someone underestimates me though, and takes me for a lil wayne jockey.

Where I live everyone supposedly met Method man and whatnot.

this just made me respect soulja boy, he made some points

Listen to Pretty Boy Swag & you'll lose that respect.

Listen to any song pretty much lol.
He did have some points though.
Times are changing..Kids want new shit..

That's not a point lmao.

Shit hip-hop or shit anything / art / music / rock / period has always existed in every generation. Most is always garbage.

So, him saying 'times are changing' and 'you're old' is no defense for being garbage lmao. He's still fucking trash, he can't rap, he can't write lyrics, he has no talent. And that doesn't change with the times, he would of been awful 20 years ago, he's awful now and he'll be awful in another 20.

People with shit taste is no excuse to support nonsense.

Try telling that to the army of teens bro.
His shit sells, trash or not! Not flaming or being rude but..You know.

XD Soulja Boy is one of those artists that makes us think about the future...Is music destined to be this bad?
It probably would of by itself, even if SB never existed..

People just wanna try something new..Instead of the old fashioned rapping, let's yell mindlessly about getting money and repeat the word swag 50 times in 2 minutes.
My 2 cents but, SB saved hip-hop imo.

It caused people to hate him and try to resurrect hip-hop..Cause it pretty much died out around 2007.
SB can't write lyrics, he will always be bad..That's what makes him UNIQUE.
Being a troll with rental cars in videos and trying to make everyone mad is his own little thing he does you know?
I say let SB be and let 'em do his thing.

We can all hate but at the end of the day SB's shit sells.

(Cue canned applause.)

Please don't pull a P. Diddy argument^. Souljia Boy's just pure trash, there's no getting around that you can say he's unique, he's trying something new but in the end he's just garbage and a cancer to Hip Hop with that mentality.
