I think there's a difference between a good artist and a lyrical rapper. That doesn't mean a lyrical rapper can't also be a good artist. Imo, asher is a good artist. He has some decently lyrical songs, but he's not that type of rap. I don't understand why alot of people bash artists who arent overly lyrical or have multies every other word. That's just my opinion, though... I can understand basing someone who bites and shit, but ehhh...

It's not about being overly lyrical and having multies, it's about having subject matter that can keep you interested. Asher Roth i can listen to, but he wasn't able to keep my attention for that exact reason.

He gets too much hate here. Sure, he doesn't make songs for people to relate to but that's not the only reason we listen to music, e.g., he's got great flow on his songs. I've appreciated it a lot more after realizing many of the, so called here, good rappers sound like they are running out of breath or off-beat most of the time. I've only heard The Greenhouse Effect Mixtape and his album. The mixtape is dope, and his album's got some good songs in it too. He's got a good verse in the "I'm Beaming" remix too.
