Really.

I didn't say I was "so smart" I'm saying I understand what Tyler's saying. He's saying fuck what people think, his music ain't for them. He thinks IT sucks and he enjoys Waka, which is a conventionally hated opinion in hip hop, so he's saying fuck off. It's not that deep. The whole song is about misconceptions if you listen.

So how is that any different to me saying he disses Immortal Technique and praises Wacka.

As for me listening to the attention seeker, ooooh someone who's going against the general perceptions of hip hop, what a hero, what a revolutionary. The irony here is the person he disses has been accused of being pretentious when it's so obvious this ugly little fucker dissing him is coming off as nothing more than wannabe little fucker who's begging for the world to appreciate his different opinions and would sell his soul just to try and shock the world.

He's not gonna last more than 2-3 years.

You said no, writing him off, thus missing the point of him saying it.

And no, Tyler has clear morals and will never sell out. he doesn't change or say anything just for what other people want. He hates partying and drugs and alcohol, there goes 95% of his possible radio hits. He could have signed with a major, he got it so OF has 100% control over whatever they do. He's putting out Goblin with XL, a traditionally non-controlling label.

I'm not saying you have to like him, but your critiques are 100% unfounded and ignorant.

I love Tyler but he has already said on multiple occasions that "he wants to sell out as soon as possible and fuck all this underground shit".

The way I see it is if your sound is mainstream and they like it they will pick you up if its not mainstream sounding and goes off on things that does not appeal to the mainstream listener expect to be labeled underground for a while (rather you like it or not) until you decide to stop being overly talented and just create crap music that appeals to the mainstream listeners. Not saying all mainstream artis suck just saying.

I've listened to half of the album so far and it's been a refreshing experience. It's been a while since I've heard an album that sounds like the exact opposite of everything else. Hopefully this will inspire upcoming artists to be original and don't try to fit in.

The diss towards Immortal is a cry for attention though.

Because he's clever as hell, his lazy delivery is dope, and his mic pressence/persona is great.

And he says shit like:
"The devil doesn't wear Prada, I'm clearly in a fucking white T"

I liked that Yonkers track enough to DL his last album, but after listening to that I won't be downloading any more.. Sooo I'm unsure why he'd take shots at underground rappers, seeing as the entire world knows he's not going to blow up beyond what he is now.

Funny line, that's the great thing about Tyler. He says shit to confuse the fuck outta you, people don't know if he really feels that way or if he's just being sarcastic.

Getting co signs from rappers I don't even like :smoking:
