Re: TRShady's Rap Album of the month (JUNE 2011)

Still haven't listened to Tech or Em/Royce's albums. Lol. I bought BME last week though, but haven't even opened it. Will do it soon, usually Em cds go straight in, but his voice on "I'm on everything" really demotivated me.

I like Elmatic out of those albums, but I've only listened to 2 or 3 new albums in June. Btw. Big Sean is horrible, work gave us tickets to his album listening session party and decided to go and thought his album was weak as hell, he sounds nothing like I thought he would.

It's like a normal party with the music playing in the background. It's mostly critics and DJ's who attend, the likes of Whoo Kid, Clue, Envy etc. were all there and noticed people from RollingStone, Complex, Rapradar etc. there too.

I'm on everything is the worst track on the album. (with Lighters, who has bruno mars on it, if you don't like poppy choruses/beats, you won't like it.) but Welcome 2 hell with a beat from havoc is straight fire.

I'm honestly disappointed Grieves wasn't in the poll, Lello . I know he's not particularly famous on this forum but his album was really solid. Best to last, from favorite to "haven't checked out" [X]

Tech N9ne - All 6's and 7's
Grieves - Together/Apart
Elzhi - Elmatic
Blue Scholars - Cinemetropolis
Bad Meets Evil - Hell: The Sequel or Random Axe - Random Axe (indecisive until I give Axe another listen.)
Aesop Rock & Rob Sonic - Are You Gonna Eat That?
Canibus - Lyrical Law (I actually just skimmed through snippets and gagged a little bit but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt since I don't hate Bis and say it's lyrically better than everything below it.)
Big Sean - Finally Famous: The Album
SwizZz - Good Morning SwizZzle
Cyhi Da Prynce - Royal Flush 2 [X]
Curren$y - Weekend at Burnie's [X]
Pete Rock & Sniff-N-Wessum - Monumental[X]

he's got some Eminem-esque slant rhymes with lots of quotables and his flow is very much like the talking style Eminem had during the SSLP era so idk why it's so hard to grasp...I've listened to this album at least 10 times through so i'm able to judge it fairly well

I like Finally Famous, and that's odd considering I usually hate that type of music, but Big Sean raps NOTHING like Em did on SSLP.
