Pac overrated because people were able to relate to his music ? most of his fans talk about his story telling, they talk about them being connected to pac. How is he overrated ?

Eminem fans will say that kanye and wayne are overrated, kanye and wayne fans will say that Eminem is overrated, Jay fans will say that Nas is overrated, Nas fans will say that Jay-z is overrated...
The word "overrated" doesn't mean anything, it's a word used by people who don't agree with the fact that an artist is popular or praised by a lot of other people but these guys feel secure because they are on a forum and their friends have the same opinion than them :coffee:

Prove to me right here that Pac is outright the best rapper there ever has been or ever will be.

Oh, thats not possible is it, but that is the sort of stuff that thousands of people think, go look at youtube or something and you will see so many arguements with people saying '2pac is the best rapper ever and ******** is nowhere near him'.
There are a lot of people saying that 2pac >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Everyone else and i personally feel that is over-rating him, he is good and you could argue he is the best but how can people possibly say that he is the best and no-one is on his level? Thats their opinion, great.

My opinion is that their opinion is wrong.

Your opinion is that my opinion is wrong and therefore i am retarded.

 youre saying that because i disagree with your opinion i am retarded, please explain to me how that works.

Back to 2pac though, i never said he is bad just that people hold him in a ridiculously high regard

Lance5 wrote:Pac overrated because people were able to relate to his music ?

Please show me where someone said that people being able to relate to his music is why he is over-rated.
I relate to his music, i relate to the music from a few people actually, i really enjoy it but i wouldnt say that someone is the best rapper of all time and no-one will top them and so on...

Ignoring the way you put that, im just gonna say that over-rated and under-rated is people getting more/less attention than they deserve. eg. Lil Wayne has a catlogue of unoriginal music that has barely got anything to it, some people obviously like that but to the rest of us it seems that he gets rated too highly for what he makes.

In music there is no definitive way of saying who is better or worse tbh, its entirely opinion. People saying 'my favourite artist >> yours is what gets to me, you cant say better or worse. Over-rated and under-rated are a way of saying whether you feel someone gets the recognition they deserve.

And i know you werent calling me retarded but i.had to use it in the post to show how it doesnt work

Lance5, everyones fans say it but i see it more from 2pac fans.

Exactly.

Everyone almost raps about money, cars, jewels, women, wealth not just Kanye but the true G.O.A.T. artists like 2pac, Eminem, Nas have a balance of deep ish too, political ish, personal ish. With Kanye he doesn't have that same balance. Kanye sold records yeah but so has Lil Wayne

Kanyes best album is College Dropout, Waynes best album is The Carter 2. Neither are classic albums in my view both good albums. I think Kanye is overrated also because the actual greats like Eminem have 2-3 classics at the very least such as The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show. 2pac has Me Againist The World, Makaveli 7 Day Theory. Ice Cube Has Amerikkaz Most Wanted, Death Certificate. Mobb Deep have The Infamous, Hell On Earth.

No doubt homie forgot about that 1. I don't also get the hypocrisy in many ways too because Lil Wayne gets critisized for most his catalouge being songs about money, cars, jewelrey, women, sex, wealth. Yet Kanye makes songs about exactly the same subject matter. Yet People critisize Wayne but Kanye stans give Kanye a pass for his lack of subject matter/content.

Hey Mama from Kanye is a 10/10 song I fucking love it.

For me Kanye is miles ahead of Wayne , Ross, 2 Chainz, Drake etc and I am not a Kanye fan.

Then they should just be real and say Kanye has a good delivery but being a good artist is more than just delivery.

You never know he could make another good album like his first few. With Kendrick on Swimming Pools tho for example he was quite clever that song was subtle on the face seemed generic but it wasn't.

Em's more popular than any other Hip Hop artist and out sold everyone without rappin about money, cars, wealth. He makes music people feel yet still outsold everyone who just raps about money. The fact Em can make real songs like Lose Yourself, Not Afraid, Sing For The Moment, When I'm Gone etc and they reach number 1 or top 10. These other rappers have no excuse not rappin about real ish and just rappin about money, clothes, cars when Em going number 1 on the chart with real music. No excuse what so ever for people like Kanye, Wayne, Jay, T.I. etc.
