then why do you talk about classic albums ? an individual doesn't give the classic status to an album.
the title is wrong tbh, "how many Jay albums do you like" would have been better imo

Theres plenty of critics who do not think it's a classic, it never won a grammy award or a soul train award and it flopped when it first came out.

It flopped when it first came out ? so what ? the album aged very well, we're still talking about it and people still listen to it.

Nas never won a grammy, it took him something like 10 years to go platinum with illmatic and it's a certified classic

You must think Illmatic isn't a classic then.

This thread is about Jay Z cuzin not Nas. In my opinion it didn't age well enough to be a classic in your opinion it may have but others will disagree with you while some may agree. Hence why we here to voice our opinion g.

ok, I don't listen to TMMLP and Illmatic anymore, does it mean that these albums aren't classic albums ?
the thread isn't about Nas and Eminem but I it was an example, there are some albums that you just can't forget because they played a big role in the hip hop history.

People still listen to Reasonable Doubt and even if they don't listen to it anymore, the album captured a moment in time, the album influenced a lot of artists ...well, even my favorite artist is influenced by RD, pretty sure that some of your favorite artists are also influenced by this album.

I can listen to The MMLP with out skippin a song from top to bottom and listen to it regular. That is why i think it's a classic the same goes for All Eyez On Me, The Eminem Show, The Infamous, Doggystyle, The Chronic, The Slim Shady LP, Get Rich Or Die Tryin etc think all these albums are brilliance musically can bump them top to bottom not skipping a song. I can't do that with RD

Jay's good albums are RD, BP.

Average/below average albums are The Black Album, American Gangster

Lukewarm albums are Vol 1

Rest of his albums are wack
