It didn't make the West Coast but Snoop just can't be ignored by any West Coast rapper as one of their fave ones. Snoop was rapping like a God & him & Pac were flying the highest together... kids who grew up on this will always say Snoop is up there. He was consistent enough for so many years & was always real.

It's not just Snoop's albums too... Snoop's feats on both Dre albums are more than legendary & it doesn't go more West coast than that. Snoop is affiliated with most that happened on the West Coast in the 90's & that's when the West coast fucking ruled.

Snoop... :worship: :worship: :worship:

Well it is considered a stone cold classic & it's essential part of the back then new West coast movement that was literally more of a way of life rather than just music for anybody who's experienced that in California. This album along The Chronic mark time as the beginning of Dre & Snoop era & the Death Row dominance that would go on all the way before all the shit piled up.
That album made it clear that Snoop was on par with the one & only Cube up there as a king of Cali! :worship:

The main reason i'm surprised he mentioned Jay Z is because Jay Z has so many wack albums and is limited in his subject matter. Kendrick is diverse in his subject matter while Jay mainly raps about drug dealing and flaunting. Also Kendrick is real good at doing hooks. While Jay Z gets singers to feature to do the hooks on his tracks.

Don't think Jay Z has a classic album. RD his best work but not a classic to me cus of how it hasn't aged well. Also rappers like Reakwon, Biggie Smalls, Kool G Rap, Ghostface etc were rapping about selling drugs and doing mafasio rap way before Jay Z who was influenced by these rappers. So no Jay Z hasn't influenced

maybe you don't like it but the album aged very well in general, a lot of people still listen to it and every time you have to mention some of the best albums, most of us will mention RD.

To me it has aged poorly has a lotta weak songs on it too. It's a good album not a classic and not great just good. Can't listen to it anymore tho sounds boring

that's the point, an individual doesn't give the classic status to an album IMO.
I think some albums are personal classic albums and other albums are classic albums (impact, influence, etc)

Don't see the impact Reasonable Doubt had cus as said rappers like Kool G Rap and Raekwon were rapping about being big time cocaine dealers way before Jay Z made RD. His finest work yes but nothing more than a good 7/10 album.
