-Yela, Raekwon, they are definitely missing, a verse from TMR should be on the list.

-Tech N9ne, it's only my opinion but his insane flow isn't an excuse for his poor lyricism. he may have cool verses, but that doesn't make them good. Most of his bars are filled with convoluted messages and poor grammar.

-Kendrick, well, he's already on the list, hiiipower is a great song, music is about feeling and this song has some quotable lines but his delivery, the transition between different rhythmic levels, his lyrics and the way he rides the beat on maad city >>>>>>> any verse from Hiiipower.

Nas: A verse from Life is good should be on the list, A Queens Story or Nasty are very well structured verses and both of them are full of great lines.
“I come from the Wheel of Ezekiel/To pop $1,000 bottles of scotch, smoke pot, and heal the people” :worship:

Some technical rappers dont have a message in their songs, and some rappers can have a message, but cant rap.
Some rappers on the list found the perfect balance and some of them shouldn't be considered as mainstream rappers tbh

Yet some of the rappers on the list aren't technical and don't say shit and you say they deserve to be there.

Yes I'm talking about A Milli

A milli has some good wordplay lines IMO

I wouldn't put A milli at #3 but I would definitely put this song on the list

Yeah, that verse is exactly what Shameek was talking about. No substance, no good lyrics and overall a wack verse. Jay had a much better verse..

Don't know why that Kanye verse is on the list

I think that at least the half of these verses are indeed top 25/50 in the last 5 years but the other verses are painfully mediocre, Yelawolf, Nas and a few other cats deserved to be on that list instead of Kanye West, Rick Ross and his whole clique

I agree with him having poor grammar structure some times but lately (as of 2011) he's been on fire. What are some examples of recent senseless verses? At first listen his shit typically sounds weird, but it makes perfect sense when you review it back.

I could take all the verses from Worldwide Choppers, form them into a list, and it'd still make more sense than this piece of shit.

You know, honestly, we are stupid for coming to these threads expecting anything that makes a lick of sense.

This is more like Top 25 Best Rap Verses of the Last 5 Years Perceived by Idiots and People who Don't Listen to Rap tbh :coffee:

Here's how the complex lists works: they just grab their janitor's iPod, put the songs from his "rap playlist" on shuffle and call it a day.

There are some questionable choices but you act like the the list was garbage when a lot of these verses are verses are amongst the best verses released these last 5 years

Killer Mike "Reagan" (2012) (Verse Two)
Kendrick Lamar "m.A.A.d. city" (2012) (1st Verse)
Jay Electronica "Exhibit C" (2009) (2nd Verse)
Earl Sweatshirt "Earl" (2010) (1st Verse)
André 3000 "Sleazy (Remix)" (2012)
Lupe Fiasco "SLR" (2010) (2nd Verse)
Jay Rock "Money Trees" (2012)
Curren$y "Elevator Musik" (2009) (1st Verse)
to name a few

1train was also a good choice but Krit > Danny

Earl doesn't deserve a spot in a top 25 best rap verses list, especially when there were way better verses man
