@OP your galvanizing/dominating (commercially, I'm assuming) isn't a logical argument for why Jay isn't the goat and I hope that doesn't need an explanation lol.

Him not winning raoty (I'm assuming you're talking about the Grammy's here) isn't an argument against Jay, but the Grammy's themselves. He wasn't even nominated for Reasonable Doubt (don't know if he made the cutoff and I think that was the first year for that category), and he clearly should have won for American Gangster, The Blueprint, and maybe The Black Album although that was going up against College Dropout. Nas has never won a Grammy award btw.

The most charismatic? Lol, you can't be serious.

You think Jay-Z has at ANY point had more charisma than Eminem?

He's nowhere near as energetic, funny, witty... smart, his vocal tones, his flows... he's a much more relaxed and generic rapper and entertainer in every sense of the word.

Kanye has a boat load more charisma too.

If Jay is anything... it ain't charismatic. He poses as relaxed and wise, which, if he can be anything... it's that. But he's not very charismatic or exciting.

I'm on the fence with Jay z, I love RD and TBA but Blueprint was mostly mediocre save for the beats and it rather irritates how much better his verses on renegade are than the rest of the album. It just makes it unlistenable and he sounds so lazy in say Heart of the city, for example.

I also do agree Nas>Jay z.

But Jay is definitely better than Big L or big pun no question.

I agree and Jay-Z is not a goat.

You can be considered as a goat when theres a possibility for you to be #1, jay-z has never been in that position, he isn't the most skilled, he doesn't have the best albums, he isn't the most popular, he isn't the biggest seller, he really isn't a goat

How can you say that first statement when Eminem is walking around with Encore and Recovery under his belt?

Everyone considers Jay a GOAT or he's at least in their top 5 sitting right next to Nas and Eminem

People take rap too seriously. Em may be the best emcee, but that's not everyone's goal. Jay Z is amazing in that he describes how to reach success and achieve your dreams in a blueprint that is understandable by just about anyone with an ounce of ambition.

Jay Z is one hell of a role model when it comes to success, whether you like his methods or not.

He even says "truth be told - IF SKILLS SOLD I'd probably be, lyrically, Talib Kweli"

Jay Z has the most platinum albums out of any hip-hop artist, but that's because he markets well, buys his own shit buy the truck load, and has like 55 albums. Em has sold like 4 times as much with half the records. :)
