This album cannot possibly be GOAT, not even Kanye's best and Kanye himself is far from the best. Honestly I'd rather listen to Recovery lol there are only a few songs off this CD I even fuck with anymore whenever I am in the mood for his music. Just lately since the man has been acting a fool it has disenchanted me from his music. All the best songs on this album got voted off FIRST in the elimination game. Lmao.

I want to understand it as well, because this album honestly doesn't click to me. GKMC was so much better than this and honestly so was MMLP2. That's my honest opinion.

I'd rather listen to MBDTF than Recovery and Relapse tbh .. some great songs on there.

Yeah, there's a few great songs on there for sure I won't deny it but not a single song on there is 10/10 imo. The closest one is probably Blame Game or Monster. You know my feelings about Relapse. Recovery was a good album too but certainly in the bottom tier of Eminem albums.

I will say that this album is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite from Kanye though. I just really don't understand how it's GOAT material just like Eedee doesn't understand. I want to like this album like that but I can't lol. Not to say I don't like it but you couldn't pay me to go around calling this album the GOAT because it's most certainly not.

Whatever floats everyone's boats I guess, but there's liking an album and calling it great then there's calling it GOAT.

From a production/soundscape & conceptual aspect, it is a fantastic album and one of Ye's best to date. As far as GOAT album? No way. But still a great project none the less.

Yeah I mean this I can agree with lol. It's ridiculous when people call this a GOAT.

I honestly used to hate the album but I recently started listening to it and its dope af when you listen to it from start to finish.

I agree with this. Ofc it's nowhere near GOAT status. But it is probably one of the best if not the best album of the last couple of years alongside GKMC

That I can also agree with though. In the past few years, yeah, it is one of the better albums.

You know an album is overrated when its defenders use vague, unquantifiable terms to defend it.
Brilliant album, yes, but truly great, as in, in contention for top 200 records of all time? Fuck no.

@mononym I respect your opinion, even though I disagree with it. In the end it all boils down to personal taste.
@Eedee, I could write a counterargument to contest that rateyourmusic review if you want, I saw a couple of points that were exaggerated or just plain wrong.
