There's a rumor that Nyquil is just the product of melting Joe Budden CDs.

I haven't listened the solo work of the others but in terms of performance within the group, when with the group - Royce is probably most consistently the worst to me, especially lately.

His bars are often embarrassingly weak and don't connect comically or conceptually, and feel lazy.

Budden is often the best.

Royces solo stuff is okay, better than most of his stuff with SH for sure. Not overly big on him really though, he was incredibly lazy on WTOH.

I believe Royce is at his best when he's rapping along with Em, it's like Em bring the best out of him...

As far as SH goes, I find Royce to be the most entertaining and humorous.

Joell and Budden are both really good at introspective/emotional verses, and Crooked is the best at just making you bob your head to his flow and rhythm.

As far as solo work goes, Royce is definitely the best. Even his last project, Success Is Certain, tops everything from either of the other three members for me. That album is just like, unusually good. And what I mean by that is, I know I shouldn't like the songs THAT much, but almost every track on SIC just hooks me in and makes me wanna just fucking jam that album till I die. I don't know how to explain it lol

I think it's Royce's way of delivering, his diction and enunciation coupled with the fact you can just picture him chilling out with you spitting his verses directly at you. I just find Royce's delivery to be one of the best I've ever heard. It's so amiable.

I must be alone on this one, but I always love Joell Ortiz' verses cause he's a really funny dude. His serious songs/verses in SH are dope too.
Not saying he's the best rapper in the group, but he deserves more love shrug
