yes I have brother. I enjoyed half of it. Some good songs like Salute, Chip off the block, etc. Gave a nigga hope. But after that, and after his signing to Interscope, its like Jimmy tried to mold him into another Recovery Em; and he willingly complied and everything after the Lace Up tape has been straight ass.

I know what you mean. There were some gems after that like Save Me, and D3mons and All We Have but honestly he was better before he signed to Interscope.

End of the Road, The Return, Half Naked & Almost Famous are dope as fuck but they were on other projects so I don't really count them in that bunch.

Songs like Invincible are definitely Alex da Kid + Jimmy Iovine.

I don't see him growing anymore as an artist, and he's not showing any signs of it either. He'll just be a mediocre rapper for the rest of his life, slowly fading away into the realm of other rappers who couldn't grow conceptually. And that's what pisses me off because there was so much potential.

The Lace Up album was a Recovery carbon copy.

Recovery wasn't that bad.

If anything, MGK's album was just like...any other wishy washy beat rap album.

Never said Recovery was bad...
I meant in the sense that it went out of its way to appeal to the masses. He even said that in several interviews that the label wanted to make his album in the same way that Recovery was constructed; that they wanted another LTWYL and he willingly agreed. But instead of growing out of it, (like Yelawolf did after Radioactive) he's made that his whole style now.

I'm not going to praise the dude, but he has always done his thing. I'm from around Cleveland and have been here my whole life and one thing I can tell you is dude has MAD love here and is great to the fans. His image now is kinda corny in my opinion and he is on the completely wrong label. But some of his shit is actually nice if you only listen to the music. Also NRG I completely disagree with you about the beats man.. The song Stereo, he got dude from the kickdrums!

I'm no fan, but he actually puts effort into his music.

Yeah that's how I feel about him, he does have some sleeper songs that are pretty sweet.
