They'll tell you "Gillette Mach Razor Blades" cause they probably pronounce it "razor" and not "rizza" cause their THAT stupid. Ask a Wayne fan who's DJ Premier and they'll probably think a movie is gonna premier on TV tonight, cause once again their THAT stupid.

It gotta be DJ Premier. He utilizes so many different kinds of instruments and his scratching/sampling is one of the best in hip hop...

Unbelievable - The Notorious B.I.G.
Nas Is Like - Nas
Mathematics - Mos Def
D'Evils - Jay-Z
Kick in the Door - The Notorious B.I.G.
Represent - Nas
One Million and One Questions/Rhyme No More - Jay-Z
Mass Appeal - Gang Starr
One Day - Jeru the Damaja

There's shit loads more...

RZA one of the best too. Just listen to the beats on Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...

Everyone pretty much said some of the best producers: DJ Premier, J Dilla, Dr. Dre...etc.

I'll give Kanye West that praise as well. Guy is amazing. In time I think he'll definitely go down as one of hip-hop's greatest producers.

Anyone ever heard of El-P? He's an amazing, yet underrated producer. Maybe because the songs he produces for isn't mainstream (Mostly works on the "Def Jux" record label)

IMO, Dre's beats on Relapse were very very very whack compared to the Chronic. He seriously needs to return to his roots like Deep Cover or some old shit like that.

Medicine Ball is a prime example of a fail Dre beat.

100% agree with that.

Why is he gonna return to the early to mid-90s sound? It's the new millennium, you have to advance and constantly remake your sound. Sonically, Relapse was flawless. Apart from a few people, noboby wants to hear Chronic beats in 2009.
