again he has fallen off sense RD... do doubt about it simple as.

and those rappers mention, there best stuff never hit the radio, they didnt change up shit to make money. Jay laletly his best songs are singles IMO. and he does it for the money no doubt

so what if he lived a crack dealers life, alot more people did than you think.

To be candid, there's much more to rap than dope punchlines and stacked multies.

In fact, those rappers that just have battle-style lyrics will never make it as big as giants like Jay or Nas or whatever. When people list their greats, why don't the majority have those underground freestylers?

You guys all think being successful in the industry is all about having crazy lyrics people can dig. Neglecting the business side of the corporations will hurt you in the long run.

So all these "hidden talents" out there who are trying to make it big and keep saying they'll never sell-out are fucking kidding themselves. :y:
Yo, from the first to the last of it; delivery is passionate/
The whole and not the half of it; vocab and not the math of it/
Projectile that them blasted with; accurate assassin shit/
Me and Kweli close like... Bethlehem and Nazareth/

Thank you man :b: :b:
If ANY underground emcee gets offered a multi million contract they'll take it, who'd blame them?
Lyrics are only a small percentage of makes a great emcee, flow, consistency, delivery, presence, all come into play before lyrics, which is what most underground emcees/fans dont consider.

''Neglecting the business side of the corporations will hurt you in the long run.'' Agree 100%.
Jay knows how to market himself which is why he sells, ie. make singles that have appeal to casual listeners, then have tracks on the album that appeal to everyday hip hop listeners

Im not arguing he's the best though, what Im saying though is he has been running the industry for years which is what ive been saying since my first post, if you dont think so then who would you say is?
Taking facts like 11 no.1 albums in 13 years etc will show you that nobody comes close
