Gotta agree here.. I'm not a HUGE ea fan but I'll take him over the other 3.

Potentially.

But I don't think he has a strong enough hip-hop base to stay relevant for a long time.

No definitely not. Well maybe the inevitable future or the next trend in the mainstream for some but he's not the future in any progressive sense.

He's not pushing the envelope, doing anything artistically interesting, nothing like that. I'd be happy to call B.o.B the future though.

Lmao @ This. The only good thing about Young Money is Lil wayne, and Drake is like a side dish. Its alright...But if I cant finish my main course I aint fuckin with it. Every other person in young money is hot garbage. Nikki needs to go somewhere. She ISNT the new lil kim and wayne writes every one of her verses. I can hear lil waynes voice when I hear one of her voices its so obvious.

That being said, I'd like to repeat what I said before. Drake is a fad.

@ Fa-Q - You really rank Asher higher that Bobby? If you were trying to convince someone Asher was dope, what songs would you suggest them listening to...because I need to be convinced. Everything I heard from the man was decent at best.

That being said, Bobby's album as a whole was a disappointment. However, he snaps on some verses and I think with the feedback he'll get from this album, and his label hurrying him up to get another album out, he'll focus on the good and drop the bad. And you'll hear more verses sounding like his shit from Nothin On You and Airplanes 1 ( which he kills btw )

Kid Cudi is over rated. [EDIT] - And if someone wants to argue that he's not...Again, which songs would you suggest to convince me otherwise. Cuz I listened to his whole album and wasnt impressed. But maybe I was just skimming to fast.

There is no future for him.

He isnt bringing anything new to the game.

If hes the future, then hip-hop will see its end very soon.

The future? This motherfucker is already almost "over"
J-Cole is a better bet. Guys like Lupe are also pretty young luckily.

I also think Asher Roth is pretty mediocre, having given his mixtape and debut a chance.

What i read in a new interview with Drake & XXL magazine.

Like if you’ve got the title of being the best rapper but you don’t have the hottest songs out? To me, that’s what’s important is just like putting out consistently good product. I don’t really care how they rank me or anything like that.
