He's created some classic tracks but... I would have expected him to come with a debut that made a dent in the genre... I know he realizes he made a mistake... but for fuck sake, to get that far... why would you then risk it all by compromising on your FIRST major album.

I mean, maybe if he had put out a few majors which didn't connect, it would make more sense. But to get to a major deal on the back of his raw material then do that... makes no sense.

Your debut is your introduction, that's the worst time to be fucking around with your shit for execs.

Same with Slaughterhouse. I dont get it.

"Hey, Fucking Eminem saw us and loved us for this reason, but we´re gonna make an album to please fans that hopefully will like us for that reason!"

Just fucking do what made you come this far in the first place!
Yelawolf finally got that, TMR proved that <3. The others though, I dont know...

This.
The House was whack as fuck.
Slaughterhouse should stick to what they're good at, hardcore rap.
Straight bars.

Yelawolf defiently. He has heaps of potential. I sometimes wonder if he would've been better off signing with Strange Music. Because he would have full creativity control over his projects, and Radioactive wouldn't of sounded the way that it did..

I seriously doubt that, as his whole style revolves around partying. Not to say that he's a horrible rapper or anything, but I've seen nothing that says he's not already doing the best he can (which is actually rather decent for a party rapper).

He has some deep songs. And they have decent rhyming.

If he put his mind to it, he could make classic songs. But alas, wasted potential, IMO. Plus he's a douche lol

I wouldn't say classic. His deeps songs would get boring after a while if that's all he made, because he's not that clever or creative (at least when he's making party songs, people would appreciate it because no one cares about that stuff in a party song). I don't think Mac has what it takes to be a Slug, Eminem, or even another current artist like Macklemore (though Mac knows how to flow/sound better).

I really think he's doing the best he could ever do.

^

I think he did those deep songs just to have 'diversity'... I don't think he really tried. I agree that he dude sucks major ass, but I think he could shit out a GREAT song if he put his mind to it and used his skills to the limit. Eh. Who knows. I just think he could.
